Course Binder:
Most scientists use a notebook or binder to record data, lab activities, field notes, and other important information. We will model that practice by regularly using a course binder. Your course binder will consist of a 3-ring binder that is at least one inch wide and contains lined paper. Your binder will contain ALL of the written information related to this class. You will record all of your notes in the notebook in your binder. Notes include all lecture material written down on the white board and information you record during labs. You will clip into your binder all handouts, returned work, tests, lab reports, homework, etc. Your binder should be organized by date in a way that makes it easy to find materials distributed in different months.
***If you are absent, upon your return you must copy down the information (activities, homework) from the days you missed. You are responsible for making up ALL missed work.***
